Frequently asked questions
01
What Conditions Do You Treat?
As a chiropractor, I have extensive knowledge in treating multiple conditions including but not limited to back pain, neck pain, headaches, joint discomfort, and sports injuries. I also have a special interest in providing care for athletes and fitness enthusiasts.
03
How Long Do I Have To See You?
The duration of treatment varies from person to person based on individual needs and the nature of the condition. My primary goal is to facilitate your return to activities you enjoy, rather than pushing unnecessary long-term treatment plans. Together, we'll work towards your optimal health and well-being, ensuring you receive the care that's best suited for you.
05
Will My Insurance Cover Care?
Many insurance plans cover chiropractic care to some extent. It's best to check with your insurance provider to understand your coverage and any out-of-pocket expenses.
02
Do I Need A Referral To See You?
In most cases, you do not need a referral to see a chiropractor. Chiropractors are primary care providers and you can schedule an appointment directly with them. If needed, I will work closely with your Medical Doctor or Nurse Practitioner to make sure your care team is on the same page.
04
What Is An Adjustment?
An adjustment, also known as spinal manipulation, is a precise procedure I apply to the spine or other joints in the body. Contrary to popular belief, bones are not "out of place" as commonly described. Instead, the goal of an adjustment is to enhance the range of motion of a joint and alleviate pain by applying controlled force to the joint. It's important to emphasize that providing manipulations is a shared decision process between you, the patient, and me. If you prefer not to receive adjustments, there are numerous alternative treatment approaches available to address your needs effectively.
